Garador openers can be fitted to most existing sectional and roller doors that were never automated. We check the door’s balance first, because an opener should never be doing the springs’ job.

Which opener do I need?
It depends on the door’s type, size and weight. Roller doors take the Reflex. Standard sectional doors suit the Focus or Precision; big or insulated doors suit the Genius HD; and if you want phone control built in, the Genius. We confirm at the measure.
Can you add an opener to my existing door?
Usually, yes, as long as the door is in good balance. We check it first and fix anything that would strain the motor.
What warranty comes with an opener?
Garador openers carry a 5‑year, 10,000‑cycle or a 7‑year, 20,000‑cycle warranty depending on the model; premium openers cover the electronics too. Bought with a Garador door and registered, Genius HD, Genius, Precision and Reflex openers are covered for 10 years or 20,000 cycles.
Why do I need safety beams with phone control?
Because the door can be closed when nobody is there to see it. New Zealand’s standard for garage door openers has required safety beams on new smartphone-controlled installs since December 2020.
