Springs and cables hold the door’s weight
They’re under high tension. Leave the door where it is, keep people and cars clear, and don’t try to release or adjust anything yourself. Call us and we’ll make it safe.
A crooked or half-open door can mean a broken cable or spring
Stop using the door and the opener, keep clear, and call us. If it simply won’t move and looks normal, check the opener has power and the remote works, then book a repair.
Usually rollers, hinges or tracks
Grinding, squealing or a jerky run usually means parts need adjusting or replacing, which a service picks up. If you hear a loud bang, check the spring answer first.
Start with the battery
Put a new battery in the remote and check the opener has power. If the wall button works but the remote doesn’t, the remote may need pairing again, and we can do that for you.
A door off its tracks can drop or jam
Don’t use the door or the opener. Keep clear of it and call us.

If a door is rusted through, repeatedly failing or no longer safe, a repair is money down the drain. We say so, and quote a replacement against it so you can compare.
